DAV Auxiliary Creek County Chapter #9 Sapulpa, OK We serve the Disabled American Veterans as they first served us. The organization was founded in 1922 and has grown to over 100,000 members.

The Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary is an organization of men, women, and children with a desire to assist disabled veterans and their families across the United States and Puerto Rico. These members volunteer at Veteran Administration Medical Centers, Nursing Homes, Schools, Churches, Communities, and also promote Patriotism and reach out to legislators for concerns related to veterans and t

heir families. The DAV Auxiliary is founded on the mission of “Making a difference in the lives of disabled veterans and their families.”

Robert Bruce was well known as a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Creek County Chapter #9. He will be remembered fondly by the Auxiliary as a kind and thoughtful man who brought the ladies flowers he personally arranged and jewelry hand crafted. It gave him great joy to give to his Chapter.
The last few years his health has diminished with him becoming a resident at a nursing home. Rickey Wells the DAV Chaplin had many visits with him over the last few years and they had great conversations. Rickey read the Bible to him and it brought him comfort in his final days.
