Just an update with what's going on lately at the Juvenile Detention Center: We've had some highs and lows. One of our highlights was last month we were able to get Zion Steptoe, a wide receiver for the Tulsa Hurricanes, to be a guest speaker for the kids and he was awesome!! He has an amazing testimony of what God is doing in his life, and how he's been able to make a big impact on his team with his faith. He's definitely going to do great things for the Kingdom!! There have been a lot of changes lately & I will update at a later day. For now though , please pray for us and this ministry, because it is so needed!! The kids really need more resources and we need help to make that happen, but we will never lose our passion for these at risk youth, & God is ALWAYS FAITHFUL!! Thanks so much!!

Haven't posted in a while Life's been busy with business ministry and grandkids(lots of t-ball games)😃. We've talked about Defense Mechanisms the last couple of weeks. Lots of exciting things in the works. We got t-shirts made for fundraising. We are working on a Tulsa University football player going in with us to give his testimony. He came to our church last month awesome guy. Also we are trying to get a Why Try event together with the founder of Why Try in Tulsa this August. Let me know if anyone is interested in coming. Had such a great week this week. Some of the boys are going through a lot but they were so grateful to see us this week. Always refreshing and they were very engaged this week. We had a group prayer.

We had a great week last week. We finally got to use the internet to show our curriculum videos. They are always more involved when we get to show the videos. We had a boy unknowingly come into our store last week. He said don't I know you from JDC? We got to meet his mom. It was so great to see someone get out and doing good. There's a lot of times they get out and they go right back in a few weeks or months later. Thank you for your prayers.

We finally made it into JDC last Wednesday. I was sick with the flu so we missed 2 weeks. They didn’t have internet this week so we couldn't do videos this week. So we just hung out with the kids and talked about life after JDC and got beat in dominos lol. We are headed to the Tulsa Boys Home today to visit one of the boys and might meet up with another boy Tuesday weather permitting 🤞. Pray for us as we meet with these young men this week. We talked about Defense Mechanisms last night. This is my least favorite class to teach. God must be working something out in me 😊. We actually had a great class. We didn't get to show videos last night which makes it harder to teach lesson but we were able to have some good one on one conversations that were really meaningful. Thank you for praying for our ministry. I see a lot of big things for this ministry this year.

We've had a challenging but rewarding week this week. God has showed up each time. I locked our keys in the car when we got to JDC this week. So we got to give a testimony to the boys letting them know we go through stuff just like everyone else. We had set backs with business this week but God is good and seeing us through it. We always love the Labels lesson to let the kids know what Gods label is for them and it's not what others label them. Also creating positive labels with changed behaviors.

Haven't been able to keep up with updates because we've been so busy the last two months with our store. We got to hang out with the boys this week and just play music and games. It's nice to just hang out with them. They pretty much schooled me but Shane Graham has mad skills at the card game Speed. We got an unexpected call from Jacob Sunday at the Tulsa Boys Home so we were able to make it for another visit. I see us being very involved at the Tulsa Boys Home soon and still going to JDC. Please pray for this ministry and what God has planned for us this year. Thank you to everyone that has helped us with this ministry we couldn't do it without you. MERRY CHRISTMAS 🎄🎁

It's a busy time of year but we are still so excited every time we get to speak to these young men and women. We are a small group but we are doing big things. We've had another young man reach out to us and we will be getting with him soon. Thanks to Shane Graham for helping us with this ministry. We will be going to the Tulsa Boys Home today for a visit. We are going to go forward with being able to go here regularly for visits. A lot of the young men at JDC end up going to the Tulsa Boys Home so we are excited to move forward with this. This is the main reason we started this as I was in the Tulsa Boys Home when I was 9 years old and my wife Tina was in JDC at 15 years old so this mission is near and dear to us. Thank you for supporting and praying for our ministry.
