🐾 Together, We Roar! 🐾

As we wrap up the 2025–2026 school year, we want to extend a heartfelt THANK YOU to our incredible Carlton Hills community.

Because of the support of our families, volunteers, staff, students, community partners, and PTA members, we were able to provide programs, events, grants, field trips, school improvements, staff support, and so much more for our students.

This year, our community contributed nearly 2,000 volunteer hours, supported over 650 students, and grew our PTA membership to 310 members. From the Fun Run and Read-a-thon to Trunk or Treat, Family Bingo, Glow Dance, Holiday Shop, Red Ribbon Week, Field Day, and everything in between, your participation made a difference.

Thank you to every volunteer who gave their time, every family who attended an event, every donor who contributed, every teacher and staff member who partnered with us, and every student who made this year so special.

We are proud of what we accomplished together and excited for what lies ahead.

💙 🐾 Thank You, Carlton Hills Community! 🐾 💙

Our Teacher Appreciation Week was truly something special, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible support of our Santee community, families, and PTA!

🌟 A huge THANK YOU to our generous business donors who made our teacher raffle so exciting:

👏 Special shoutout to Hilltop Deli for providing a wonderful luncheon for our teachers—we appreciate you!

💐 To our amazing families—thank you for showing up in so many thoughtful ways:
Bringing flowers, helping fulfill Amazon wish lists, encouraging your children to draw heartfelt pictures, and gifting items your teachers love. Your support made each day meaningful.

🍎 Our PTA was proud to serve throughout the week by:
- Providing coffee and daily treats
- Organizing and delivering lunches and snacks
- Coordinating raffle prizes and celebrations
- Supporting teachers with appreciation activities all week long

Because of this collective effort, our teachers and staff felt truly valued and celebrated.

From the bottom of our hearts—thank you for lifting up our educators! 💙

Thank you to everyone who came out to Jaguar Hockey Night and supported the San Diego Gulls! 🏒💙

Because of your energy and generosity, we were able to raise funds for Carlton Hills—your support truly makes a difference for our students and community.

It was an amazing night of hockey, fun, and school spirit. We appreciate each and every one of you who showed up, brought friends and family, and made the event so special.

Help us celebrate our incredible Carlton Hills teachers and staff during Teacher Appreciation Week (April 27 – May 1, 2026)! 💚🍎

Our teachers do so much more than teach—they inspire, support, encourage, and shape our children every single day. Taking time to recognize their hard work and dedication is so important, and this week is our chance as a community to show just how much they mean to us. 💛

We have a full week of thoughtful ways to celebrate:

🌼 Monday: Students bring a flower for their teacher
📦 Tuesday: Help clear your teacher’s Amazon Wish List
🍎 Wednesday: Bring your teacher their favorite snack
🎨 Thursday: Draw your teacher a picture
🎁 Friday: Bring your teacher one of their favorite things

The PTA will also be supporting our teachers all week with coffee, lunch, treats, and a special raffle!

We are so grateful for the incredible support that made Carlton Hills’ first-ever Acceptance Walk such a meaningful and memorable event! 💛

This walk celebrates neurodiversity and reminds us that acceptance means recognizing, respecting, and celebrating differences—so every student feels seen, supported, and included.

A huge thank you to Ms. Hailee, Ms. Erica, Ms. Marsman and her amazing 3rd grade class (for the beautiful signs!), our 6th grade buddies, APE coach, speech and occupational therapists, PTA board members, SDC staff, ESN teachers and aides, and all of our wonderful parent volunteers. Our ESN families helped run engaging stations like shaving cream, sensory bins, painting, texture boards, and bubbles—creating a fun, inclusive experience for all.

We especially loved seeing our speech therapists guide students in using AAC devices to help peers connect and communicate.

Together, we showed that diversity is our strength—and acceptance is something we can all practice every day. 🌈
