For 11 years, Pickwick was a proud member of ACT San Diego. Please consider donating to their yearly scholarship program that was unable to fundraise this past year. Supporting theatre artists as they earn their degree is such a worthy cause!

Announcing the Pickwick Players Scholarship!

From its inception, Pickwick has had a youth focus, getting students involved in all aspects of production. Over the years, we have been thrilled to see many of our artists go on to theatrical degrees at the university level. Upon our dissolution in 2020, we at Pickwick made the immediate decision that all remaining funds would be placed into four college scholarships to be granted in 2021.

The Pickwick Players Scholarship is for any of our youth or adults pursuing a college degree in performing arts or technical theatre. Criteria will focus on essay, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and Pickwick involvement.

Contact Artistic Director Cameron Williams for an application.

Applications are due by March 1, 2021.

"Don't cry because it's over. Smile because it happened."
-Dr. Seuss

With our hearts full of gratitude and sadness, we at Pickwick Players say goodbye to our kind volunteers and patrons. It has been a fulfilling eleven years, and we are so proud of what we have accomplished because of your dedication to the arts. From ANNIE in 2010 to FREAKY FRIDAY in 2020, we produced 40 musicals, comedies, and dramas in our facilities at Moxie Theatre, C3 Church, Off Broadway Live, and Carlton Oaks School. Thanks for the memories!

Annnnnnnnnnd... we're off! Our second 24 HOUR THEATRE team has begun. Playwright David Carnevale received his setting, genre, cast demographics, prop, character trait, and quote. Because he started writing at 7:00pm, his script is due at 1:00am. The director and actors will then have the rest of the night and all day tomorrow to rehearse, memorize, and design all production elements. We go live tomorrow at 7:00pm!
