Stamp Out Hunger 2026 was a huge success! Santee Food Bank received a record-breaking 19,760 pounds of food!

🥫 Thank you to our incredible postal workers for powering through longer routes and heavier loads to make this possible.

🥫 Shoutout to The Santee/Lakeside Rotary Club for the moving vans, and to their members for making multiple trips to keep donations moving.

🥫 And to our 30+ volunteers who gave hours of their time, into sunset to sort and store it all. The extra hours and effort are much appreciated!

🥫 Most of all, thank you, Santee! Your generosity will make a real difference for neighbors in need. Thank you!!!

The Stamp Out Hunger food drive is less than a week away! This Saturday, May 9, please put a bag (or 2 or 3) of non-perishable food out for your postal carrier to take. It’s the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive where ALL food collected in Santee will be delivered to the Santee Food Bank, and in turn distributed to Santee residents in need.

As 2025 has come to a close the Santee Food Bank would like to show our utmost gratitude to all of our volunteers and donors that work tirelessly each and every day to allow our doors to remain open and help support the Santee community since 1983. This year we served 5,777 Santee households totaling 16,935 individual Santee residents from our Food Pantry. Our Commodity Food program, in partnership with the San Diego Food Bank, has helped bring food to an additional 2,448 households or 6,560 individuals residing in all of San Diego county. Thank you so much for helping us to continue serve our community!!

January 20th is another Commodity Food Distribution at the Santee Food Bank. This distribution is open to ALL of San Diego County...8-11am.

Happy Holidays to our Santee community! In order for our volunteers to enjoy their family time, the Santee Food Bank will be closed Wednesday, December 24th and Friday, December 26th. We will be open again that Saturday, the 27th.

We have had a outpour of support from our Santee Community during these last few months and we would like to convey our sincere appreciation for all those who contributed. We have seen a significant increase in the number of households we serve each week and cannot THANK YOU enough for the support!

We depend heavily upon donations from the community and our volunteers to feed approximately 500 Santee households EACH WEEK!!
