🏒Ejecting the wrong player! 🥅
Imagine: a hockey player on their best behavior 😇 They’ve done great and have lots of potential to be even better. They’re sportsmanlike, encouraging, and PENALIZED for misconduct?? 😱
They did nothing! They hurt no one. But, they were standing near a full-on brawl, so they were blamed.
They were so blamed they have been kicked off the team! Out of hockey entirely! 😞
That is infuriating, isn’t it? Injustice. The actual brawler that bloodied the other guy’s nose and yelled profanities at him? He’s still angsty and ready to fight.
The wrong guy was thrown out 😈
This happens all the time with women’s bodies- their uterus may not be the problem at all (or just one part of the problem), but they’re given hysterectomies (and usually not with a really quality excision of endometriosis). This can be a deeply upsetting, emotional, difficult thing, so when it does not actually help with the pain, it’s devastating 🎗️
Endometriosis and adhesions MUST be dealt with thoroughly. Randomly throwing out organs and not handing such a profoundly destructive disease is ejecting the wrong player, and it happens every day.
This month we’re teaching about endometriosis through the lens of sports. Share this with hockey fans, spouses, family, friends, and anyone else who could use it.
Also, bid on our online sports auction (link in IG linktree) before May 25!
