Valley of the Moon Children's Foundation

Valley of the Moon Children's Foundation Valley of the Moon Children's Foundation exists to support current and former foster youth. Two of these programs include the Scholarship and Dental Programs.

The Valley of the Moon Children’s Foundation is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to supporting the educational achievement and overall health and well-being of current and former Sonoma County foster youth. The Foundation also provides funding and resources to the Valley of the Moon Children's Center (VMCC), Sonoma County's only 24-hour emergency shelter for abused, abandoned, and negl

ected children. Since completing the new home in 2009, the Foundation has been able to shift its focus to supporting other programs and opportunities for Sonoma County’s at risk youth. In other areas of focus the Foundation funded the V.O.I.C.E.S –Sonoma facility with a grant to help staff and increase hours of operation for this comprehensive resource center serving emancipating foster youth who are aging out of the foster care system. The Foundation also provided funds to the Redwood Empire Foster Parent Association to help with respite care for foster parents. Our continued collaboration with the above and many other agencies in Sonoma County has increased our ability to avoid overlap of resources and services and has narrowed our focus to achievable, actionable programs for the Foundation where we can measure the outcomes and better serve our youth. Our mailing address is PO Box 11671, Santa Rosa Ca 95406.
