Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 10th, 2026! How are you celebrating?

For more than 40 years, the National Women’s History Alliance has offered a meaningful way to honor the women who have shaped our lives through our Mother’s Day Card campaign. Inspired by a supporter’s idea to recognize the importance of “mothering,” this tradition reflects the deep and lasting impact women have on families, communities, and generations.

The origins of Mother’s Day are rooted in women’s efforts to improve the lives of others — a powerful reminder that this day is about more than celebration. It is about recognizing strength, care, leadership, and resilience in all its forms.

This year, our 2026 Mother’s Day card features vibrant geraniums, symbolizing hope, courage, and the joy of honoring the female experience. Each card includes a note sharing the history of Mother’s Day and its connection to women’s advocacy and community building.
