Happy Holidays from the Crozat Family Foundation and G & C Auto Body! This year we were able to gift 5 recipients with vehicles graciously donated by GEICO!
Juanita, a dedicated 34-year-old single mother of two boys she calls her “M&M’s,” has struggled since their 2018 Toyota CHR broke down, was stolen, and ultimately totaled. She now depends on costly Uber rides to get her sons to school and herself to work supporting special-needs children. Without reliable transportation, daily tasks are difficult, and her boys miss out on sports and music opportunities. A dependable vehicle would ease their daily challenges and open new doors for the whole family. Juanita received a 2018 Toyota Camry.
Trinity, a 37-year-old single mother of three (including two adopted children), has faced major challenges since a workplace injury at Pepsi led to six leg surgeries and more to come. After overcoming homelessness and securing stable housing, she fell behind on payments for her 2020 Dodge Ram, which was ultimately repossessed. Receiving a vehicle would greatly improve her ability to manage medical appointments, daily responsibilities, and her family’s path toward stability and independence. Trinity received a 2020 Honda Accord Sport.
Josh and Sam, together for two years, are raising Josh’s two daughters while their 2005 Jeep Liberty with 267,000 miles is breaking down beyond repair. Amid a difficult custody battle and ongoing CPS involvement with the girls’ mother, they are working hard to create a safe, stable home. A reliable vehicle would be a crucial support in helping them maintain the stability they’re striving to build. Josh and Sam received a 2017 Subaru Cross trek.
Verne, a 68-year-old veteran living in remote West County, has been battling stage 4 prostate cancer since 2008. Without reliable transportation, he is largely homebound and isolated, unable to easily access medical care, groceries, or opportunities to earn extra income through music gigs or DoorDash. A dependable vehicle would greatly improve his independence, connection to community, and overall quality of life. Verne received a 2020 Toyota Corolla.
Prisilla, a 40-year-old single mother of three, faced major financial hardship after pregnancy-related medical complications forced her to stop working. When the transmission in her 2017 Ford Escape failed and the repair costs were unaffordable, she made the difficult choice to surrender the vehicle. Without transportation, getting her children to school and managing daily errands has become a significant struggle. A reliable vehicle would ease her stress, support her children’s needs, and help her rebuild stability for her family. Prisilla received a 2017 Volkswagen Golf GTI.
