Books From Gwen We donate books to families spending time in Bay Area children’s hospitals � This project was inspired by the short life of Gwendolyn Eynon.

In February of 2023, Baby Gwen was born with a CHD called Tetraology of Fallot, and received treatment at UCSF Benihoff Children's Hospital in San Francisco. During Gwen's time in the CICU, her parents Daniel and Mackenzie read to her every day- this was how they managed to bond with her around all of the Tubes! Tragically, Sweet Gwen died at 5 weeks and 1 day old- in her last minutes her parents

read her "I Love You All Ways" by Marianne Richmond. Gwen's parents looked forward to reading to their daughter, and already had a little library set up for her at home! During the hardest time of their lives, books helped this little family bond. We believe that ALL children deserve access to books- whether they are at home, at school or in hospital. During the hospital stay, Gwen's parents received care packages, but something missing from them was books! Books From Gwen's goal is to gather Children's Books (For Ages 0 to 18), which we will give to kid's in children's hospitals to keep as their own. We welcome donations of both New and Gently Used books, as well as cash donations. Thank you for your time and support!

While we focus on children’s books, we received a large donation of new Adult Books. We found a home for them today at The Living Room Center, Inc- which provides support to women in urgent need and at risk of homelessness. We hope these books bring some happiness!
