Our public lands and trails are an important part of this country's history. But, how have funding cuts and government shutdowns inpacted our public lands? What happens to an old trail that goes away? What histories and memories do we lose from humans in the past, and what does this mean in regards to our sense of place and culture moving forward? How can we support our current trail systems and public lands?
Geologist, author, and professional mountain biker Dillon Osleger poses these questions and shares ways we can use trails to connect not only with nature, but with past and future generations on this upcoming National Trails Day, and every day, in "Language of the Land: Trail Work—A Legacy of Public Lands."
