Those hurricane sunsets just hit differently… 🌅

As Isaias approaches the Panhandle, we hope everyone stays safe and takes care of their families.

We’ll see you all back at the fields following Fall Break! 💚⚾️🥎

Exciting news! We’re grateful to see this project officially underway and excited for the upgrades coming to Helen McCall Park.

We can’t wait to see the improvements take shape and the impact they’ll have on our community!

Attention Parents!

After collaborating with Walton County Recreation, Dune Lakes Baseball Fields are open for games tonight! The fields are in amazing shape, the county mowed the outfields this morning & games are about to be underway!

Huge shoutout to Walton County Rec for being patient with closing down these fields, they drained really well & we are happy to be playing ball tonight. ⚾️⚾️

It’s starting to take shape! 👀⚾️🥎

Now entering the chat… FIELD #4 at the Walton Sports Complex!

More baseball/softball. More opportunities. More room for our kids to play.

We can’t wait to see this one come to life!

Thank you Walton County Board of County Commissioners, Florida and Commissioner Tony Anderson!

From the Big Leagues to Little League! And we’re still not sure which one is harder…

On Roberto Clemente Day, it feels especially fitting to recognize Coach Aaron Barrett.

The Roberto Clemente Award honors those in baseball who represent character, community involvement, philanthropy, and making an impact beyond the game. That same spirit is what makes Little League so special.

Coach Aaron not only volunteers his time coaching our kids, but also serves as a board member for South Walton Little League. And when he’s not giving back to our community, he’s coaching in the Philadelphia Phillies organization, where he was just named Florida State League Manager of the Year!

Congrats, Coach Aaron. Well deserved accomplishment!

And thank you to Aaron and ALL of our volunteer coaches and board members who continue to show up, give their time, and pour into our kids and our community.

Baseball is bigger than what happens between the lines.

It ain’t always easy. But it’s always worth it.

2026 Fall Ball Update ⚾️🥎

Softball drafts were held Tuesday and Baseball drafts Wednesday. We are now organizing rosters and getting team information out to our volunteer coaches.

Our goal is to have rosters finalized by the first week of September. Coaches will then reach out with practice information based on their schedules and field availability.

Please note that fall registration is closed. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accept additional players at this time. If we missed you this fall, we hope to see you for Spring Ball!

Please keep in mind that we are a 100% volunteer run organization with a lot of moving parts. We appreciate your patience as we organize teams, schedules, fields, equipment, umpires, and everything else that goes into getting the season started.

We’re almost there. See you at the fields!

South Walton is once again leading the way in registration numbers for another Walton County recreational sports season.

As participation continues to grow, so does the demand for recreational space. We are hopeful to see continued support and investment in additional field space so all kids in our community have a place to play.

It was a hot one today for Fall Ball evaluations!

We had a great turnout and a lot of ballplayers who look ready to get after it this fall.

Huge thank you to everyone who stepped up to coach and all the volunteers who helped keep evals moving today. We couldn’t do it without you.

Now it’s time to draft teams.

We’ll be working through rosters this week with the goal of having teams out by September 1st so we can hit the fields and get to work.

We feel your pain, Walton County Recreation!

If you can, please consider coaching soccer this fall. You don’t have to be a soccer expert to be a great coach… just look at Ted Lasso!
