Friends of the Beach Friends of the Beach is a Hurricane Storm Damage Reduction (HSDR) informational initiative in and supported by Walton County, Florida. Storms are inevitable.

HSDR bolsters the coastline against storms in order to safeguard the dune system, upland structures and economy. Losing our beaches isn’t. No matter what storms come, beach nourishment protects the coastline we love and preserves it for generations to come.
