Nursing Beyond Borders We send nurses to developing countries, to improve the lives of children and their communities through preventative health initiatives.

We are a 501(c)3 organization that exists to connect children and communities in developing countries with nursing care through disease prevention and health education. It is our hope to bring as many supplies to these schools, orphanages, shelters, and communities as possible. This is Kiany 💛 She’s seven and the sweetest.

She needed two appointments to finish her dental work and handled it like a champ. The dental students decorated the kids’ area with balloons and toys, and she was so happy with her balloons—even with gauze still in her mouth from getting a tooth pulled. 😂

The smallest patient, with the biggest heart. 🥹👓

When the youngest child received his new glasses today, the reaction said it all — hug after hug after hug. Our team was completely melted.

Moments like this remind us why we do this work. Something as simple as a pair of glasses can open up a whole new world, and the gratitude from these kids fills every heart in the room. 💙

Today was all about seeing clearly. 👓✨

Our amazing optometrist volunteered his time to provide eye exams for the children at the migrant school in San Vicente. For many of these kids, this was their very first vision test.

We are incredibly grateful for his generosity, skill, and heart. Because of him, so many children will now be able to see the board at school, read their books, and experience the world a little more clearly.

Moments like this remind us how powerful one person’s kindness can be.

Dr Joe is our dental partner in Cape Coast. The days we bring him kids are quite busy but he works extremely hard to get them all seen. On Tuesday our volunteer took 19 kids to him. Today 25 kids went to the optometrist. Most have allergies and needed eye drops, some have a bacterial infections, others needed glasses, protective eyewear, and further checkups in a couple weeks. One girl is showing early signs of alterations in her retina. So many kids helped by all our many supporters. So thankful for all of you and for and making all this happen on the ground!!

This last week was filled with assessments of 100 kids at the Abakrampa Basic school. This is a village we haven’t visited before so we were excited to expose these children to basic physicals and begin the screening process to get them to providers in the next couple weeks. All our work wouldn’t be possible without (our partners on the ground) and who has generously donated her time to this cause 💕
