Our team is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating abused, injured, abandoned, and forgotten dogs. Love Leo Rescue is a small, LA based rescue that helps save the lives of shelter dogs. Many of the dogs we save are the sick, injured, abused and forgotten dogs. Welcome to the good life, sweet Millie! This adorable pug was rescued along with her babies when ICE took her human. If life wasn’t bad enough for this single mom, it was about to get a lot worse. Parvo took all of her babies from her, with the exception of Murphy. Needless to say, Millie has been through it. Despite it all, this resilient girl is one of the happiest dogs on the planet. Millie is a playful, dog-friendly girl. We think she’s about 4-5 years old and weighs about 15 lbs. Millie is very affectionate and loves being with her human. We recently had to say goodbye to a very special Love Leo alumni.
Arthur joined our rescue six years ago after spotted him at the shelter. She knew there was something special about him and wanted to help him. He was put on the euthanasia list because he had become sick with an upper respiratory infection and we stepped in. His URI had been left untreated for so long it turned into pneumonia and he had to be hospitalized for several days. He pulled through and then found his forever home with our friend and dog trainer .
Over the years, Arthur became part of Cassian‘s training program. He helped evaluate hundreds and hundreds of dogs. His calm, steady and balanced nature helped unsure dogs feel safe. His hackles never raised, his lips never curled into a snarl despite how reactive or unbalanced the other dog may have been. He was pure sweetness and goodness.
He was truly a one in a million kind of dog. When he landed with Cassian, it was as though he knew what his purpose in life was: to help other rescue dogs find their place in the world.
We don’t know how old he was when he passed, but we estimate he was somewhere around 14 years old. He died peacefully in his sleep, in his house with the person that he loved and trusted.
We are so sad he is no longer with us, but we are so truly grateful that we got to know him and give him a life of love and meaning.
Arthur, you were a gem of a dog and you’ll be so incredibly missed, not just by your human and the Love Leo family, but by every dog who you helped become their best dog.

Romeo is a very handsome, loyal and loving fella, who has been let down by humans too many times. He was left behind when his humans moved out and lived in an abandoned, junk, filled lot for, who knows how long (well over a year). He was sad, scared and lonely, and didn’t know what he did wrong to deserve such a fate. At night, he would cry, and his neighbor heard him and her heart would break. The neighbors took pity on him and offered him food and water, but the lot was eventually sold, and they were worried that he would end up in the shelter only to be killed after enduring so much heartbreak. That’s where we stepped in. He’s now safe with us, neutered, vaccinated, and healthy. He’s in a foster home and has repaid his foster mom by showing how loyal and loving he is. His favorite place to be is with his head on your feet, while you cook or read or watch TV. He’s about 4 to 5 years old and roughly 55 pounds. He would make such a wonderful best friend for someone who’s looking for a sweet boy to join them on their journey. loveleorescue.org

We REALLY don’t get it. What more can we say? Bailey is perfection, and you should adopt him. He’s 10 months old and around 60 lbs, loves kids, is potty trained/crate trained, cat-friendly, loves other dogs, is great out in public, and he’s a unicorn.

Tilia was found as a stray and impounded at the shelter. She is now safe with us and looking for her forever home in ! This little girl is outgoing, sociable, and very charming. Aurora came to us as a tiny puppy who could hardly eat on her own. Her mom was hit by a car and died. She and her siblings joined our rescue and were nursed back to health by an incredible foster thanks to . Now this gorgeous girl is ready for a home of her own. She is a roughly 3 month old mix who has been very well socialized and is as sweet as she is cute. With her adorable, perfectly placed freckles, we expect this girl will be in the 60 - 70 pound range at maturity. Meet Marvelous!
Somewhere there is a forever home in search of a soul dog, and we know this because we have a soul dog in search of her forever home. And she is Marvelous! It’s not just a description — it’s her actual name.
Also known as Marvel, this staff and volunteer favorite was pulled from a local shelter right before she was placed on the dreaded euthanasia list.
This 5 year old low rider pit girl checks so many boxes on the dog wish list:
*Good with dogs, large and small, young and old
*Good with cats (there are 4 in her foster home)
*57 pounds
*Crate trained
*House trained
*Snores when sleeping
*Snores when happily awake, looking into her human’s eyes
*Nice low/medium energy
*Cuddle bug
*Pulls a little on leash (hey, nobody’s perfect and we’re working on that.)

We’re so confused how this sweet sausage girl has not found her forever home yet. Many of you know that Peaches came to us after both of her parents passed away, with her by their side. She was faithful until the very end. Since she has been with us, we have learned so much about her and how literally perfect she is. Peaches is 3-4 years old and around 30 lbs. She loves other dogs and has even attended day care, passing with flying colors. She is the perfect amount of couch-potato snuggly bunny, yet absolutely loves to go for a walk. Her favorite thing to do is to cuddle on the couch with someone. Peaches walks well on a leash and is crate-trained. She is beyond ready to settle into her forever home. Ollie’s brother Brownie is just as perfect as our boy Ollie, but a lighter color :) Brownie and his brothers lived together until they were 8 months old, and they were all the best of friends. It speaks highly to their temperaments that 8 male dogs could live together peacefully in a tiny room. Brownie is around 9-10 months old and could not be sweeter. He loves all other dogs and is so respectful, but is also very drawn to being by a human’s side. Ollie is around 60lbs and he is ready for his forever home!
