The Barak Ballet, founded by accomplished choreographer and Los Angeles native Melissa Barak, is an exciting new contemporary ballet company conceived to celebrate the needs of dance enthusiasts for the 21st century; where traditional and progressive dance styles merge, and unlocking the raw emotion and innate artistry from every company dancer is held to the utmost importance.

“Faithful to Ravel’s intentions, Wien is a fantastic and fatal swirling of tragic dimensions. The Viennese waltz, the very image of social refinement, becomes the symbol of a disintegrating society taken into a whirlpool of violence and humiliation.”

Not since 2013 (pictured here with dancers and ) has Barak Ballet presented choreographer Pascal Rioult’s evocative piece, “Wien”. A serious tour de force of a ballet executed by a cast of six dance artists. Wien is a must see dance work! Watch it live July 9th and 10th. Ticket link in bio.
