✈️✨ PACIFIC AIRSHOW 2026 | That’s a Wrap! ✨✈️

Surf City delivered and the sky put on a SHOW! 💙

This past weekend our backyard in Huntington Beach hosted the 10th Anniversary Pacific Airshow — Oct 2-4, 2026 — and it was pure magic over the waves. 🌊

From the roar of the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds and the power of the F-22 Raptor Demo, to the special NASA Freedom 250 tribute jets honoring America at 250 — it was a weekend to remember!

A special shoutout to our amazing President Yolanda and our pilot sister Faith who were there on the ground representing the LA 99s and capturing all the action for us! Thank you for keeping our sisterhood in the sky connected! 🧭💙✨

History, power, and beauty all in one sky. This is why we fly.

Private Pilot | Pursuing Instrument Rating | First-Generation Dominican-American 🇩🇴🇺🇸

Alexis’s path to the skies was anything but traditional. Beginning her professional journey in dance and acting, her love for aviation took flight in 2019 when she transitioned into the aviation industry selling Airbus and Boeing aircraft parts.

She rose to become an Account Executive and Business Developer for one of the largest aviation aftermarket suppliers in the U.S., making history as the first woman in the company to close a deal with the largest cargo operator in Europe. 💫

When COVID-19 grounded her flight training and led to job loss, Alexis faced immense personal, financial, and professional hurdles. But grounded in faith, resilience, and unwavering determination, she refused to give up on her dream of becoming an aviator.

As a first-generation American of Dominican descent, Alexis carries the courage of her grandfather, who fled dictatorship in the Dominican Republic with his family to seek refuge and freedom in the United States. Settling in the Bronx, his brave sacrifice gave her family the opportunities that made her aviation journey possible.

Today, every time she flies, she honors that sacrifice — and she is committed to inspiring more women who look like her to believe that with courage and action, anything is possible. 🙏🏽💕

“What inspires me to become a pilot is simply doing what was once impossible. Flying is incredibly beautiful... to fly like a bird, to touch the clouds, to witness breathtaking sunrises, sunsets, and landscapes from above. It’s humbling and peaceful — a gift from God 🙏🏽.”

✨ Her roots: Rio’s Hispanic heritage fuels her humor, ambition, and persistence 💪🏽. Growing up in a light-hearted, passionate community taught her to laugh at herself, learn from mistakes, and keep going 💫.

“Anything is possible if you’re persistent. Trust the path, trust the timing 🙏🏽.”

AMELIA BRENNAN ✨🇵🇷🇲🇽

Meet Amelia Brennan

CFII out of Van Nuys and a proud Mexican American & Puerto Rican aviator! 👩🏽‍✈️

Amelia has literally been flying her whole life — her journey began at just 5 weeks old riding in her dad’s Mooney to airshows, fly-ins and formation clinics. That early exposure grew into a deep love for aviation, from flying formation with the Mooney Caravan into Oshkosh AirVenture each year to mentoring the next generation as a flight instructor.

At the heart of her story is her heritage:

“I come from a long line of strong and fierce Latinas who paved the way for me to pursue my dreams. Their stories, their guidance, their spirit has made me who I am. I’m proud to be Latina.”

Her advice to anyone dreaming of flight? “Fly with joy! Yes, it’s a lot of work but remember it should also be fun.” 💙

✈️🇲🇽 HISPANIC HERITAGE SPOTLIGHT:

MARLENE 🇲🇽✈️

Meet Marlene — proud Mexican American and first-gen aviator in her family.

Her passion started before she could walk. As a baby on a flight, both her mom and grandma fell asleep, and she crawled up the aisle to explore the plane. She’s been fascinated ever since.

Her proudest moment? Graduating from United Aviate Academy — a milestone made even more special by the lifelong friendships she built along the way.

As a Latina in aviation, she doesn’t always see herself represented and has had to push past feeling like she doesn’t belong. She believes representation matters: step in, then make room for the next.

Her advice to young Latinas: “Go for it. Don’t let ‘it’s not for people like you’ hold you back. Find mentors, ask questions, study hard, and keep people who lift you up close.”

For Marlene, the 99s means sisterhood, mentorship, community & opportunity.

Nicole Guzman 🇲🇽

Nicole Guzman began her aviation journey in the cabin as a flight attendant for American Airlines. 12 years later, she felt the call to go from cabin to cockpit, becoming one of the trailblazing Latinas taking on the Flight Deck.

She is now a Student Pilot working towards her PPL and paving the way for the next generation.

In her own words:

“My heritage is woven into the very fiber of my being. My ancestors and all those who came before me, whose sacrifices led me to this moment. When I chose the path to becoming a pilot, I knew I wasn’t doing it only for myself, but para la cultura también. I want every Latina who comes after me to know: estamos unidas. When one of us rises, we open the skies for the rest of us.”
