The Stacy Fuson Foundation is heartbroken by the passing of RJ Mitte, an actor, philanthropist, and passionate advocate for people with disabilities. RJ, who lived with cerebral palsy, used his platform to champion inclusion and disability awareness throughout his life.

For many years, RJ joined us at our events, generously giving his time, encouragement, and support to the individuals and families we serve. His kindness was genuine, his heart was big, and his belief in the potential of every person made a lasting difference.

RJ never stopped using his voice to create opportunities and inspire others. We are grateful for the memories, the laughter, and the unwavering support he showed our community.

Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, and all who were touched by his life and legacy.

A little , but a message that never gets old. ❤️

Back in the spring, Stacy sat down with a local TV station on the morning of our annual poker tournament to talk about the event and, more importantly, why she started the Stacy Fuson Foundation in the first place.

Take a few minutes to hear her story, learn more about the heart behind the foundation, and see what this tournament is really all about.

Every grant we give represents more than equipment. It’s an investment in someone’s independence, confidence, and future.

This month, we’re celebrating one of our wheelchair grant recipients, Zack, who recently competed in the Cincinnati Tennis Foundation Wheelchair Open… and won the championship using his new tennis wheelchair.

Having a chair built specifically for competitive tennis has opened new doors for Zack, allowing him to compete at a higher level, travel to tournaments, and continue pushing himself as an athlete.

“I was able to compete with my new tennis wheelchair and won the championship. Having a wheelchair specifically built for competitive tennis has made such a positive difference for me. Being able to compete, travel, and continue pushing myself toward higher levels of wheelchair tennis means so much to me.”

His gratitude reminds us why this work matters.

“This wheelchair is more than just equipment — it’s a tool that helps me pursue my goals and continue growing as an athlete. Thank you again for believing in me and helping make this possible.”

We’re honored to be part of his journey and proud to support athletes who refuse to let barriers define their limits.

Ability360, our partners in advocacy, spent the past week in Washington, D.C. standing shoulder‑to‑shoulder with disability rights leaders from across the country, in recognition of National Disability Independence Day. They marched to the Capitol, met with congressional offices, and pushed for stronger access, equity, and independence for people with disabilities.
