Writing from Nepal, surrounded by the girls and the community we serve.
When I’m here, everything feels amplified—the love, the beauty, the resilience, and yes, the pain too. Being this close brings the work out of the abstract and straight into my heart.
We’ve just concluded our 2026 Founder’s Tour, and what stays with me most isn’t a single moment—but the feeling of Unatti as a living, breathing community. Woven into the ancient streets and temples of Bhaktapur. Held by relationships. Guided by local women. Rooted in trust.
Being here reminds me that this work isn’t outside of my life—it’s part of my life’s fabric.
The girls are not here to be fixed.
The community is not separate from us.
Their journeys, like ours, are unfolding in their own time.
The question shifts—from How do we do more?
to What is life asking of us right now?
At Unatti, our role isn’t to shape who these girls become.
It’s to remove the obstacles in their way—so their education, confidence, and leadership can unfold naturally.
I am deeply grateful for you—for walking this path with us, for believing not just in the mission, but in the wisdom of how real change happens.
With love and gratitude,
Stephanie Waisler-Rubin
