Finally!

Friday, June 28, 2024 at 11:00AM – Please mark your calendars for the Dedication of the permanent half-scale replica Vietnam Wall, which will be located across the road from the Chapel at the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Angel Fire, New Mexico. In July 2019, Judy Griego, then Secretary of the New Mexico Department of Veterans Services, signed an MOU between DVS and VVA Northern New Mexico 996 to build a half-scale replica of the Vietnam Wall. VVA Northern NM 996 has been raising funds since 2018 toward this replica wall. Most of the money for the project came from the New Mexico Legislature’s capital outlay funding. We're very excited to share these conceptual drawings of the Vietnam Memorial Wall at Angel Fire with you. The VVA 996 Memorial Wall Committee met with NM Department of Veterans Services this morning and they provided these to us. They are preliminary, and subject to change, but they are a big step forward for this project. We hope to have a groundbreaking ceremony soon, and will of course let you know when we have a date for that. Thank you to everyone who has helped us get to this point!
