🐾 Saturday surprise from the watershed… we caught a mountain lion on our wildlife camera!

Did you know? Mountain lions can leap up to 40 feet in a single jump and are incredibly elusive, which is why spotting one in the wild is so rare. These powerful predators play an important role in keeping ecosystems healthy and balanced. 🏔️

Wild moments like this remind us just how much life calls the watershed home. 💚

A big thank you to the City of Santa Fe's River & Watershed Section for hosting a fantastic hands-on workshop with hydrologist Aaron Kauffman along the Santa Fe River Trail last Saturday!

It was wonderful to come together with our River Commissioners and volunteers for a collaborative day of learning and stewardship, including installing erosion mitigation features along the channel banks.

🌎✨ That’s a wrap on our 2026 Climate Masters Program!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us throughout this inspiring series and helped grow a stronger, more climate resilient community. 💚

For our final class, we were honored to welcome Camilla Feibelman from Rio Grande Chapter of the Sierra Club , who shared powerful insights on advocacy, community action, and the many ways each of us can make a difference. From learning practical tools for advocacy to exploring how to get involved locally, the evening was full of meaningful conversation and connection.

Participants also had the chance to meet local organizations, discover volunteer opportunities, and continue building community around climate action. 🌱🤝

Thank you again to everyone who attended, participated, and showed up for our watershed and our future. We can’t wait to see where your climate leadership journey takes you next! 💧
