The St. Michael’s High School Alumni Association extends our condolences and prayers to the Rivera Family on the passing of their mother Teresina (Tessie) Rivera.
Mrs. Rivera was a very strong advocate for Catholic education as she worked at St. Francis Cathedral School for 25 years. In addition to this, she and her husband, Mr. Teofilo Rivera, worked hard to ensure that their children would receive a Catholic education from grades K-12 as they all attended St. Francis and St. Michael’s High School. Below are the Rivera Horsemen Alumni:

Mrs. Rivera also has 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter who have attended and/or graduated from St. Michael’s.
Mrs. Rivera was a true matriarch of the Rivera Family and Catholic Education. In carrying Mrs. Rivera’s legacy forward, the Rivera Family has requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Santo Nino Regional Catholic School and/or St. Michael’s High School be made in Tessie’s honor.
Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord.
And let perpetual light shine upon her.
May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
