History of Energizing Our Future NM:
Energizing Our Future New Mexico traces its roots back to the initial partnership between the New Mexico Oil & Gas Association (NMOGA) and the American Petroleum Institute (API) in 2019, which led to the creation of the Brighter Future Fund. This collaborative effort aimed to support community programs that align with our commitment to building a stronger, mor

e resilient New Mexico. Since then, we have expanded and evolved into what is now Energizing Our Future New Mexico, broadening our focus and deepening our impact across the state by supporting nonprofit organizations focused on education, workforce development, and quality of life programs.

Opening Doors to Opportunities! ⚡️

NMOGA was proud to join Coterra Energy by bringing Lovington High School students to New Mexico Junior College (NMJC) for a hands-on student engagement event connecting students with real career pathways in New Mexico’s energy industry.

During the visit, students explored NMJC’s workforce training facilities. They gained firsthand experience with the skills used across today’s energy workforce — from operating a CDL simulator and wiring electrical systems to seeing automation technology and a mock oil & gas facility in action.

Through partnerships with member companies, educators, and institutions like NMJC, NMOGA is proud to support the next generation of New Mexico’s energy workforce.
