Another great 2026 Governors Conference on Economic Development behind us. Great speakers and breakout sessions. Thank you to Jason Espinoza, K.W. Consulting, staff of the NM Economic Development, NM Partnership staff and everyone that had a hand in making this a conference to remember. Attached are pictures of the event for economic developers who work hard to build their communities.

New Mexico IDEA is now accepting speaker and presentation proposals for the 2026 Governor’s Conference on Economic Development, taking place September 2–3, 2026, at Isleta Resort & Casino.

We’re seeking keynote speakers, breakout presenters, and thought leaders who can bring practical insight, innovative ideas, and real-world experience to New Mexico’s economic development community.

Priority topics include workforce development, economic diversification, entrepreneurship, energy, infrastructure, leadership development, community growth strategies, and emerging economic trends.

We are especially interested in sessions that are forward-looking, implementation-focused, and grounded in strategies that help communities compete and grow.

If you have a compelling topic or know someone who should be part of the conversation, we encourage you to submit a proposal.
