Even with a broken leg, Reverend Black was able to present to over 100 ordained ministers and faith leaders at the fall Presbytery meeting Ghost Ranch Abiquiu on the importance of protecting the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge. Black and other faith leaders are working across the country to educate congregations about the moral imperative of stewardship of God’s good creation.

🌿 Listening to Creation, Protecting Our Water
Annie Dillard invites us to slow down, become still, and listen for the voice of God in the natural world. But listening also calls us to action.
This week, we’re reflecting on Dillard’s wisdom alongside the Water Cyber Shield Act of 2026 and the importance of protecting the systems that provide our communities with clean, safe water.
💧 When we pay attention, we discover what needs our care.

🌎 Protecting the Places We Love
This National Public Lands Day, we’re reflecting on what it means to be faithful stewards of creation.

🌱 Caring for Creation means caring for the people who grow our food. 🌶️

Wendell Berry reminds us that farmers do more than produce food—they conserve soil, protect water and wildlife, preserve open space, & care for the land we will leave to future generations.

Today, farmers face growing challenges from extreme weather & economic uncertainty. The CHILE Act would support the farmers who feed our communities & steward the land.
