Can you believe that it has been fifteen years of New Mexico Appleseed? That seems impossible. There are no words to explain how proud I am of this work and how grateful I am for your active and generous support.

New Mexico Appleseed's work is a magic recipe of focused moral intention, academic-level research, and highly-nuanced strategy. We still need your help. We will probably always need your help. We don't take government money so we can keep our hands clean and our values intact. This only makes our work stronger and our impact bigger. The best part of my job has been seeing how generous our community is. I know that when I ask for your help, you will be there -and you always have been.

New Mexico Appleseed is seeking an experienced, driven, and dynamic Community Outreach Coordinator in the Las Cruces area. The Coordinator will work to understand and co-create solutions to the challenges of rural communities in the areas of hunger, homelessness, and economic security. The Coordinator will work in partnership with community leaders, school districts, community members, elected officials, and Appleseed staff to understand local barriers to food security, housing stability, and family economic mobility.

In every community, some have more and some have less—however, everyone should have enough.

In New Mexico, over 25% of the children have a wishlist that probably looks like the one here. It's absurd, it's heartbreaking, it's unnecessary, but it's also fixable.

Here at Appleseed, we won’t stop fighting until every child in New Mexico gets everything they deserve—stability, opportunity, resources and equality to reach their potential.
