What a joyful afternoon at Jean Cocteau Cinema! 🎨✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for Saturday Afternoon Cartoons — a FREE community event celebrating creativity, classic animation, drawing, and connection across generations.

Guests spent the afternoon sketching, laughing, watching classic cartoons, enjoying concessions, and learning directly from Craig Kausen, grandson of legendary animator Chuck Jones, who stepped in to lead the drawing session himself.

Rotary Club of Santa Fe was proud to help support this pilot event by sponsoring art supplies so that anyone could participate, whether they arrived with supplies or not.

Huge thanks to:
• Jean Cocteau Cinema
• Chuck Jones Center for Creativity
• Maestro Financial Partners
• Everyone who came out to create with us

Special thanks as well to the City of Santa Fe community members who have already expressed interest in helping support future editions of this series.

We believe events like this matter. Accessible, low-pressure creative spaces help strengthen community, inspire young people, and remind us that the arts are something to experience together.

More photos below — and hopefully more Saturdays like this ahead. 🥕❤️
