If all the planned data centers are built, an expert estimates billions of gallons of water will be used. We are in an era in which machines are expanding and competing against our own needs as communities and ecosystems.

Water use for data centers and their power sources could soar in the coming years, a researcher told a panel of New Mexico state lawmakers.

Regional leaders, commissioners, parciantes along with supporting agencies, non-profits and community members are invited to join us to increase our collective ability to adapt to and mitigate droughts and floods as acequia communities, with a focus on watershed health. We will share updates and lessons learned from the Rio Chama and Santa Cruz Regional Acequia associations and focus our time on reviewing the first draft of the acequia drought resilience handbook and receiving your feedback and input!
