Yesterday, we joined City of Santa Fe staff, Mayor Michael Garcia, City Councilors Pat Feghali, Paul Bustamante, Jamie Cassutt, Carol Romero-Wirth Barrett, and Pilar Faulkner, along with community members and supporters, to raise the PRIDE flag above City Hall.

During the ceremony, Mayor Garcia presented a proclamation officially recognizing June 2026 as PRIDE Month in Santa Fe, celebrating the contributions, resilience, and diversity of our LGBTQIA+ community.

Join award-winning author and educator Dr. PJ “Paul James” Sedillo for If These T-Shirts Could Talk...: 50 Years of GLBTQ+ Pride in Albuquerque (1976–2026) at the New Mexico History Museum.

Through archival photos, historic Pride t-shirts, and personal stories from community members, you’ll discover how a march of just 25 people in 1976 grew into the vibrant Pride celebrations we know today.

Friday night, we kicked off Pride Month with our 5th Annual Pride Month Launch Reception at the Governor’s Mansion!

It was an inspiring evening as we gathered with sponsors, donors, community partners, advocates, and friends to celebrate the start of Pride and the strength of New Mexico’s LGBTQ+ community.

We were honored to welcome elected officials from across the state, including Santa Fe City Councilors Pilar Faulkner, Paul Bustamante, Alma Castro, Jamie Cassutt, and Pat Feghali; County Commissioners Lisa Cacari Stone, Justin Greene, and Hank Hughes; House Majority Leader Reena Szczepanski; Representatives Mariana Anaya, Tara Lujan, and Matthew McQueen; and State Senators Liz Stefanics and Linda Trujillo; Santa Fe County Clerk Katharine Clark.

A special thank you to Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, whose remarks reaffirmed her longstanding commitment to equality and support for LGBTQ+ New Mexicans.

Thank you to everyone who joined us as we launched a month of celebration, visibility, and community. Happy Pride!

💃🌈 Q***r Partner Dancing at The PRIDE Center 🌈💃

This month, we’re learning how to Two-Step! Join us on Sunday, June 14, for an afternoon of dancing, community, and connection in a welcoming, gender-free environment.

🕟 4:30–5:30 PM — Two-Step Dance Class
🕠 5:30–6:30 PM — Social Dance

Whether you’re brand new to partner dancing or looking to build your skills, come learn the basics of Two-Step in a safe space free from traditional gender roles. All q***r folks and allies are welcome.

💵 Sliding scale: $5–$20 (pay what you can)

Q***r Partner Dancing takes place every 2nd and 4th Sunday at The PRIDE Center (June 28th will be at a different TBA location due to PRIDE the day prior). Come dance, meet new people, and have fun on the dance floor!
