It is not a place to argue policies. Comments that make others feel unwelcome will be removed. The Food Depot, Northern New Mexico’s only food bank, works to address food insecurity in nine counties through a variety of programs and community partnerships. In FY24, The Food Depot’s programs and partner agencies distributed 10 million pounds of food, providing more than 8 million meals across North
ern New Mexico. Distributions can include purchased food, community donations, rescued food, and USDA commodities. More than 80 independent nonprofit partner agencies work with The Food Depot to distribute healthy food and provide essential services. Partner agencies include soup kitchens, emergency pantries, transitional or supported living programs, community centers, college campuses, and more. The Food Depot’s innovative hunger-relief programs include Casita de Comida, the Food Mobile, Mobile Food Pantries, Food 4 Kids School Pantries, Food 4 Pets, Diaper Depot, and The Food Depot Pantries. We serve individuals in nine counties in Northern New Mexico: Colfax, Harding, Los Alamos, Mora, Rio Arriba, San Miguel, Santa Fe, Taos, and Union. This is a combined total of 26,000 square miles! Our vision is healthy, hunger-free communities in Northern New Mexico. Join our movement by learning, donating, advocating, and volunteering. Together, we can create food secure futures.
