The Pueblo of Pojoaque R.O.A.D. Program is accepting booth applications for its 9th Annual Recovery Event, “Celebrate a Culture of Healing,” happening September 26 at the Poeh Cultural Center, 78 Cities of Gold Rd. Organizations and programs are invited to take part by hosting a resource booth and helping make this Recovery Month gathering a strong reflection of the support available across our communities. Booth applications are due September 11, so please share this opportunity with partners who may want to participate. The New Mexico Department of Health’s Ni****ne Use Prevention and Control program aims to reduce the impacts of ni****ne use throughout the state and to improve the health of all New Mexicans by connecting people to resources, prevention & education material, and cessation services.

One of their programs, Ni****ne Free New Mexico (NFNM) provides statewide leadership and builds partnerships across New Mexico to support ni****ne prevention, education, and cessation efforts. Their mission is to develop and promote effective interventions that improve the health and wellbeing of all New Mexicans. For individuals and organizations already working to reduce ni****ne-related harm, the coalition serves as a multi-sector gathering space where partners can collaborate, share resources, and amplify impact.

Join one of the Genders & Sexualities Alliance Network’s Youth Collectives!

Do you want to join a collective of youth leaders who challenge the media narratives of our people?

Do you want to deepen your political education, tell your story through monthly multimedia storytelling projects, and meet other youth leaders between the ages of 13-18?

Gender Justice Leadership Programs’ Youth Collectives are national offerings for youth across the country to join a collective of youth leaders for a 10-month media-based organizing and leadership development program of Genders & Sexualities Alliance Network and Transgender Law Center. They offer three identity-based collectives:

TRUTH (National Trans Youth Collective) is a program for trans and gender non-conforming youth who are interested in storytelling and media training for local and national campaigns.

The Roses Initiative is a care-based offering for Black and Brown girls and non-binary folks of transfemme experience.

The Two Spirit Initiative empowers Two Spirit youth by centering Indigenous knowledge and decolonizing how we organize.

Food is Medicine! Learn to cook and eat well with two world-renowned chefs: Chef Lois Ellen Frank and Chef Walter Whitewater.

This class is also a chance to bond with family, friends, or loved ones by prepping and cooking together in groups. At the end, everyone gathers to share and enjoy each other's dishes! A reminder that food is not just medicine, but community!
