🎓🏗️ Day One of YouthBuild: Exploring Possibilities, Building Futures!

Our newest YouthBuild students kicked off orientation by discovering the many pathways to hands-on training, certifications, and rewarding careers!

Jay Hennicke lead the classroom, supported by Chief of Case Management Lizbeth Flores and Assistant Education Program Director Kaylee Gutierrez. Together, they're helping each student explore opportunities, ask questions, and find the path that fits their individual goals.

Every journey starts somewhere, and we're excited to see where these students go! 💪🌟

Now You See It, Now You Don’t! 🥬
YouthWorks and YCC students have put in the work, and now comes one of the best parts: the harvest! What started with planting, tending, watering, and plenty of patience is ready to be picked and enjoyed.

There’s nothing quite like harvesting the fruits, and vegetables, of your own labor!

🛠️🌿 PUTTING YOUNG PEOPLE TO WORK — OUTDOORS!

YouthWorks is excited to announce that we’ve received $40,000 through an Outdoor Equity Fund grant from the New Mexico Economic Development Department’s Outdoor Recreation Division. Over the next 18 months, 90 young people ages 16–24 will have the opportunity to learn, gain hands-on experience, and earn income while completing their Tier 1 training.

For our young people, that means more opportunities to get outside and gain real-world experience while improving the places we all call home.

🚐 The OG YouthWorks Van!
It hauled students, food, supplies, tools, and plenty of memories along the way. The original YouthWorks van served us well and kept rolling for years.

It may be long gone, but it’s definitely not forgotten. Just look at that classic YouthWorks style!

🌳💪 Working Hard to Save Our Trees
YouthWorks students and the Youth Conservation Corps (YCC) are putting in the hard work to protect and preserve the trees that make our community healthier and more beautiful.

It's hands-on environmental stewardship with an impact students can see and take pride in. Caring for the land today means stronger, healthier landscapes for years to come.

A huge thank you to New Mexico Outdoor Recreation for investing in our young people and helping create more opportunities to learn, work, and grow outdoors! 💚

🍂 Mountain Adventures & First-Time Experiences! 💦
Yesterday we loaded up the YouthWorks van and headed into the Santa Fe Mountains to enjoy the golden aspens, fresh air, and waterfalls that some of our students experienced for the very first time!

Big smiles, new discoveries, and memories that will last a lifetime. That's what YouthWorks is all about!

YouthWorks is literally making new pathways at Full Circle Farm! 🌱💪 Our students are putting in the work to help create greater access to locally grown food and medicinal plants while learning firsthand what it takes to build a stronger, more sustainable community.

One pathway at a time, they’re helping something bigger grow!

A huge thank you to New Mexico Outdoor Recreation for investing in our young people and helping create more opportunities to learn, work, and grow outdoors! 💚
