Yes, New Mexico has a health care worker shortage📉. But don't just take it from us. Take it from the countless number of New Mexicans who have voiced their concerns about lengthy wait times or those who have said they have had to travel out-of-state to receive the care they need. 🏥

The bottom line: We have a shortage. But together, we can work together to strengthen laws that will not only attract new providers, but also keep the ones we currently have. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Adopting the PA Compact, among other interstate licensure compacts for health care workers, will allow more health care providers to practice here in New Mexico.

37 states require students to earn civics credits in order to graduate from high school. In New Mexico, we could take it one step further to reward our students who excel in politics, government and social studies - a civics diploma seal! Several states have already implemented civics diploma seals for graduating students! 🏫⚖
