Cancer Foundation for New Mexico

Cancer Foundation for New Mexico To help the people of Northern New Mexico navigate their cancer journey with hope, dignity, and needed support.

The Cancer Foundation for New Mexico (CFFNM) is a local, independent non-profit organization formed in 2003 whose mission is to help save lives by providing the needed support to enable every northern New Mexican with cancer to access treatment in Santa Fe. We assist by underwriting travel, housing and meal expenses associated with prescribed treatment. Additionally, we address the need for emotio

nal support by providing free weekly cancer support groups for patients, their families and caregivers. We supply trained volunteer support during treatment, and also offer Spanish speaking interpreters during diagnostic procedures.

Raising awareness. Sharing stories. Advocating for communities impacted by nuclear testing.

Tina Cordova, co-founder of the Tularosa Basin Downwinders Consortium, is bringing the voices of New Mexico’s Downwinders to the United Nations and continuing the call for RECA expansion.

It’s an important conversation – and one that matters deeply to New Mexico communities. 💙

"We're the people that became collateral damage to the development and testing of nuclear devices," Cordova said.
