We/I were so grateful to have had a small idea that was well supported and the opportunity to do something that felt like we/I could help our Community in such a helpless time. Sending out prayers and well wishes for all of us. As we hopefully begin to turn the corner through this Global Pandemic, may we re build in more loving, kind and giving ways. This is my hope for the World. Looking for appropriate Volunteer Activities that might align with my abilities. If you think you have one, please don't hesitate to reach out.

Hi Everybody! We can support some of our local food establishments by ordering our Thanksgiving Dinners from them. Or, compromise and do some cooking and add a dish or two from one of your favorite spots! Every Little bit Helps! We all need each other!!!

Hey Santa Fe! On Cinco De Mayo, I had the distinct honor of perfectly timed things falling into place. Piccolinos has been one of our favorite local establishments throughout the delivery of meals to Essential Workers! Someone had called in an order to the wrong location and due to the work this project has been doing with them, recd a last minute call to retrieve 7 XLarge Hot Pizzas!!

As fate would have it, I was only two blocks away when the call came in. As I was pulling out of the Piccolinos parking lot, I spotted a formation of Firefighting Cadets in training lowering the flags for the day. I joined them in this quiet and well rehearsed ceremony and felt so many different emotions as they folded that flag with such precision. Then "Mark Time Mark!" As they marched right past me, myself dodging out of the way. Not sure If I should veer right, or no, maybe left. Not one of them broke formation as they filed past me. As they turned the corner I heard a distant "Fall Out" command and realized this was my opportunity to act!! I raced around the corner in my Cinco De Mayo festive hat with Goggles, mask and pink gloves on shouting "Gentlemen!! Anybody Hungry?" After a momentary pause and a little more explanation on my part, The Pizzas were delivered to some all too appreciative Firefighting Cadets and Instructors who are looking out for us Santa Fe!! And who will serve and protect us in the not to distant future!! Another Successful Appreciation Meal Delivered!!! You Rock Santa Fe!!!

One Incredible Supporter of "This Little, Local Idea" who wishes to remain anonymous saw a need and stepped in not only to cover the cost of the fine meal ordered from one of Santa Fe's Local Food Establishments....she also made the trip to deliver it!! Los Alamos Medical Center deserved to feel some love for showing up every day, and because it was out of my driving range and funding abilities, DL stepped way up to the plate and On Wednesday, May 6th, catered in a Beautiful Meal to The Los Alamos Medical Center Med/Surg Department, Intensive Care Unit, The OR Team and The Infusion Clinic!! Now thats amazing!!! Way to go !!! Xo!

Hi Santa Fe! What a Beautiful way to spend the First Day of May!!
Today, we had the absolute pleasure of supporting one of Santa Fe's Finest People in our community. Chef and owner of La Boca Santa Fe, James Campbell Caruso!! This is one kind and talented Human Being who gives to so many on an endless level.. Today, we wanted to show him our love and support by ordering a specially prepared gourmet lunch from his locally owned La Boca.
La Boca is open and serving Curbside Covid Safe yet Friendly Take out Wednesday through Sunday 4pm to 7pm. Call (505l 982-3433 for take out done a step above. Today's Meal was delivered to some our Communities Most Giving Essential Workers...Those who work within the Mental Health Community over at PMS Behavioral Health Center. 20 hard working staff members were treated to lunch today to thank them for looking after our Community during these challenging times. Because Mental Wellness is every bit as important as physical wellness. And right now, we are all being challenged mentally in some very big and unfamiliar ways!! Much love going out to everyone!! You are not alone!!

We have to give a huge thank you to Elizabeth Scarinzi, who delivered lunch to our front line workers at the shelter! Our staff was so grateful, and this gesture was so uplifting for us all!
Elizabeth, who is a singer/songwriter for The HollyHocks, is on a mission to help feed the essential workers who are on the front lines during this pandemic.

From all the staff at the Santa Fe Animal Shelter, a high paw to you Elizabeth! 🐾🐾

April 17th, 2020 was one of our favorite deliveries which went to the Wonderful Staff over at The Santa Fe Cancer Center Chemotherapy Department!! Thank you for all you do and for showing up every day to keep fighting alongside those battling Cancer! Santa Fe Appreciates you and all you do!!! Today's breakfast came from Craft Donuts & Coffee , and included Eight Dozen freshly made donuts along with locally roasted Coffee!! If you have not yet had a chance to check this place out, you don't know what you are missing. 502 Old Santa Fe Trail, directly across the street from Kaunes Grocery.

"This Little Local Idea" is now on Week Six of Surprise Meal Deliveries to the many people working in Essential Job Roles here in Santa Fe!! Successful Deliveries have taken place to the following wonderful people who are showing up every day to fulfill their Essential Job Role functions! The Intensive Care Unit Department at Christus St. Vincent Regional Medical Center received AMAZING Breakfast Burritos from The Pantry!! The Cashiers and Front End Clerks at Market Street Grocers Received 10 XLarge Pizzas from Back Roads Pizza, The Crew at FireHouse One received a beautiful tray of Lasagna, salad and bread from Piccolino's. We Delivered Breakfast for the 65 men and women UPS Workers who depart from the Santa Fe HUB!! Craft Donuts and Coffee helped us out with this order which was an enormous success. Those were some very big smiles that morning!! We made another Large Pizza Delivery to The Santa Fe Humane Society for the Staff and Volunteers who are looking after our animals during this crazy time!!! These People Rock!! We then got our folks at The Santa Fe Cancer Center Chemotherapy Department!! Delivered Breakfast and Coffee for the 60 plus Staff Members there from Our Favorite Craft Donuts and Coffee Truck!! And just last Friday we delivered to the Staff over at 98.1 KBAC Radio as they have kept us all going through these uncertain days!! Their lunch was ordered from The Cowgirl BBQ!!!!!!

April 1, 2020, Week Two was an absolute delight!! We brought Xtra Large Pizza's to the Cashiers and Front End Clerks at Market Street Grocery. The Smiles were Evidence that those who needed it most were definitely feeling the appreciation and the recognition! Magnolia (My Pup) and I were really enjoying the work being done here!! We Have been utilizing Covid Safe Measures throughout this entire process and all deliveries are made Curbside on both pick up and drop off!! Thank you Santa Fe for your continued support!!

March 30th "This Little Local Idea" Posted...
Hi Santa Fe! With your help, we will be coordinating another meal delivery to some Unsuspecting Essential Employees somewhere in Santa Fe later this week! This effort is a small and personal attempt to show appreciation to those showing up every day in vital roles as well as giving a random local small food establishment a tiny boost with our order. Obviously I can not get to ALL of the Essential Employees out there...there are too many of you WONDERFUL PEOPLE! So, I am going to leave it to fate and drop my long list of possibilities into a hat and select randomly. I have limited funding to work with but hope this brings a small smile to our Community during a challenging time!! We appreciate each and every one of you!!
The incredible PICCOLINO"S ITALIAN RESTRAUNT on Agua Fria and Siler contacted me and is insisting on donating the next meal to be delivered!! This was a huge surprise and is going beyond my expectations as the goal was to support the local business's trying to keep their doors open. This is a beautiful and gracious gesture that is coming from their heart as they have had to make some difficult decisions at the beginning of our local lock down. PICCOLINOS IS OPEN AND OPERATING TAKE OUT FOOD AND EVEN HAS A DRIVE THROUGH WINDOW!! Be sure to place your next personal order with Piccolinos for some great Italian take home!!
