The Santa Cruz County Business Council (SCCBC) is a privately funded 501(c)6 non-profit organization.

SCCBC boasts over 85 engaged member organizations who advocate for economic and community vitality. The Santa Cruz County Business Council (SCCBC), a privately-funded not-for-profit organization, consists of a cross section of businesses, representing multiple industries, located throughout Santa Cruz County. Established in 1996, SCCBC is focused on supporting economic vitality in Santa Cruz County by partnering with public-sector leadership.

The Santa Cruz County Business Council (SCCBC) has selected Zoë Carter as the new Executive Director for the organization.

Ms. Carter comes to the SCCBC with extensive experience and knowledge on the issues that face the business community in the Central Coast. As a longtime community leader, she has supported the public policy development work of former First Lady Michelle Obama, the Panetta Institute, and most recently the Monterey County Business Council. She is also a former candidate for the Monterey City Council and California’s 30th State Assembly District which now spans from Live Oak in Santa Cruz County to San Luis Obispo County.

Join Santa Cruz Works on Sunday, September 11th from 10 am - 2 pm outside at the Seymour Marine Discovery Center at UC Santa Cruz for a full day of inspirational exhibits from companies, artists, ocean enthusiasts, and researchers who are tackling the water and ocean challenges created by climate change. Food trucks, bands, and fun! Open to the public, free to attend. Be sure to register in advance!
