Huge thanks to more than 1500 donors who helped raise $1 million in private funds! Congratulations to the for prioritizing “Play for All.”

This project is one of 10 major park improvements County Park Friends has been proud to champion since our start in 2019!

Help shape the future of Valle del Pájaro County Park!🌿🪶

Join us on Saturday, March 21st at 11 AM at Valle del Pájaro County Park (188 Whiting Road, Watsonville) for the first session of our community workshops.

The County Parks Department is embarking on a comprehensive Master Plan for Valle del Pájaro and we are seeking input for this 38.5-acre park property located on former agricultural land.

Please join us to help envision this park’s future! The first 50 people to attend the workshop will bring home a Fruit Tree; attend all four sessions and you can enter your name for a raffle prize! The workshop is suitable for all ages and pre-registration not required.🍎🌲

¡Ayúdanos a moldear el futuro del Parque del Condado Valle del Pájaro! 🌿🪶

Únase a nosotros el sábado 21 de marzo a las 11:00 a.m. en el Parque del Condado Valle del Pájaro (188 Whiting Road, Watsonville) para la primera sesión de nuestros talleres comunitarios.

El Departamento de Parques del Condado se está embarcando en un Plan Maestro integral para Valle del Pájaro y estamos buscando su opinión para esta propiedad de parque de 38.5 acres ubicada en antiguas tierras agrícolas.

¡Por favor, acompáñenos para ayudar a visualizar el futuro de este parque! Las primeras 50 personas que asistan al taller se llevarán a casa un Árbol Frutal; ¡asista a las cuatro sesiones y podrá participar en una rifa! El taller es apto para todas las edades y no se requiere preinscripción. 🍎🌲

We were beyond proud to celebrate our colleague Yadira Flores, who was honored as an Impact Leader at HERStory 2026.
Alongside the other amazing honorees, Yadira spoke about her path to leadership and the room was rapt.

Thanks to and for hosting such an inspiring evening filled with the power of women.

🌻🌳We engage our community🌳🌻
Young Outdoor Leaders with our Board, staff and volunteers were proud to join to beautify a county owned property on 17th Ave. with drought tolerant plants.

They learned how the supplies were funded by our voter approved Cup Tax and had a chance to connect directly with their elected representative. This is democracy in action.

Los Jóvenes Líderes del Aire Libre con nuestro Junta Directiva, personal y voluntarios se enorgullecieron de unirse a para embellecer una propiedad del condado en la Avenida 17 con plantas resistentes a la sequía.

Descubrieron cómo los suministros se financiaron con el Impuesto de Cupón aprobado por los votantes y tuvieron la oportunidad de comunicarse directamente con su representante electo. Esto es democracia en acción.

🌳We Build and Improve Parks🌳
Our team was honored to join City Council last night to celebrate one of the largest gifts we’ve ever made to a project. Thanks to YOU, our community, Treasure Cove at Jade street Park is currently under construction, and we expect to celebrate ribbon cutting within this year!
We wish to thanks everyone who made this possible including our very own dream team!! Each successful investment BY our community FOR our community builds momentum.
