The proposal would:
✅ Streamline permitting for eligible projects
✅ Maintain objective design and development standards
✅ Keep environmental protections in place
✅ Continue community meetings as part of project development
This proposal does not change where or how much housing is allowed.

The results are in for our June Primary endorsements! 🗳️🏠

For Santa Cruz YIMBY to officially endorse a candidate, we require a 60% threshold in our membership vote. Here is where things landed:

✅ County Supervisor, District 4: Tony Nunez for Supervisor 2026 (Endorsed)
Tony earned our endorsement with strong member support. We value his pro-housing focus and his commitment to building more homes at all levels of affordability.

⚖️ City of Santa Cruz, Mayor: No Consensus. The vote was split, and no candidate reached the required threshold.

🚫 City of Santa Cruz, Councilmembers Dist. 4 & 6: No Endorsement.

Thank you to all the members who participated and the candidates who shared their visions with us.
