Santa Cruz Orchid Society Society email address: [email protected] Next month, in lieu of a meeting, we will be having our Annual Orchid Show and Sale, March 4-5, 2017.

Our mission is to increase the awareness, appreciation, enjoyment, conservation, and cultivation of orchids. The Santa Cruz Orchid Society meets at 7:30pm on the first Friday of every month at the Live Oak Grange (1900 17th Avenue). Meetings typically feature a presentation from an orchid expert, a show and tell table of blooming plants brought in by members, plants for sale, and light refreshment

s. The SCOS annual orchid show and sale will be held at Soquel High School (401 Old San Jose Road) 9-5 Saturday, March 4th and 10-4 Sunday, March 5th. Don't miss this great opportunity to see and purchase unique orchids, mingle with other enthusiasts, and support your local society. If you are an orchid grower, we invite you to enter your plants in the show on Friday, March 3rd, from 5-7pm at Soquel High School. Admission and parking is free! Great society meeting last night in Santa Cruz with Ron Parsons sharing his recent 2025 experiences photographing orchids in Australia.

Ron has updated his previous 2011 talk on South Eastern Australia using new material from his recent 2025 visit. It was an amazing presentation with so many new photo’s of the habitats and the orchids.
This photo was taken during the lecture. Ron was showing us Corybas diemenicus, one of the little terrestrial ‘helmet orchids ‘.

Visit the Santa Cruz Orchid Society tonight 01/09/26. Our guest speaker, Ron Parsons, the internationally acclaimed photographer, author and orchid grower will be sharing his recent and past experiences in Southeastern Australia.
He will be with us in person at the Live Oak Grange 1900 17th Ave, Santa Cruz. Meeting starts at 7pm. All are welcome to enjoy this free presentation .
