It is always difficult to say goodbye to the people we love, and today we must do just that. John Hudson passed away on April 19th at the age of 23. I can’t fully put into words how much he meant to me, how highly I thought of him, or the profound impact he had on my life. For 9 years, we worked together to share his story of living with Epidermolysis Bullosa, a cruel disease also known as butterfly skin. During that time, I had a front-row seat to one of the strongest, bravest, funniest, kindest, and most sincere people I have ever known. My friendship with John Hudson has left a permanent mark on my soul, and I will carry him with me everywhere I go. I’ve created a video to honor John Hudson and share more of his story for those who would like to spend more time with him, it’s in the comments below. Thank you, John Hudson, for everything.
