Santa Cruz Triathlon Association (SCTA) was founded in 2000 by a group of enthusiastic athletes eager to bring the sport of triathlon to Santa Cruz County and the Central Coast. SCTA is dedicated to supporting the triathlon community by providing a fun and friendly environment to learn and experience triathlon through programs like Nu2Tri, a three month training program directed at novice triathle

tes, community outreach through a scholarship program for young triathletes, and events like the Olympic and Sprint distance Santa Cruz Triathlon, now in its 33rd year, which provides $30,000- $50,000 in funding for athletic programs across Santa Cruz County.
