We Lions are everywhere—serving communities locally and around the world. Inspired by Helen Keller’s call to action, one of our core missions is to help provide vision care to those in need. In addition, we support our communities in many other meaningful ways.

During times of disaster, Lions are often among the first to respond—working alongside organizations like the Red Cross—providing hands-on assistance and financial support without delay.

My fellow Lion and I help collect donated eyeglasses, which are then delivered, cleaned, sorted, and reviewed by volunteer ophthalmologists to determine prescriptions. The glasses are categorized, cleaned again, and packaged for distribution at vision clinics held both locally and globally.

Through our fundraising efforts, Lions Clubs also collaborate to fund critical vision surgeries and other essential services. We are truly grateful for your continued support—your donations make this work possible.

Christmas Tree Time Again!
The Santa Cruz Host Lions Club announces the opening of its
Annual Christmas Tree Lot at 216 Evergreen Street (Portuguese Hall
near Costco), (See map) on Friday, November 28th. Hours are 2:00 p.m. to 7:00
p.m. Monday thru Friday and 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
We are pleased to announce our collaboration with the
SCOUT TROOPS #505, 604, 609, 2609, 669 & 674
Your continued support has made it possible for us to earn over
$717,000.00 the past 58 years to support the sight impaired, the
hearing impaired, diabetes, scholarships and youth
programs for Santa Cruz Area residents.
Reusable steel stands with water buckets, flocking, and delivery
