Skills of Life Cafe Job training (nonprofit) cafe, founded by an Occupational Therapist. Giving purpose. Now it is time to collaborate! We made it!

We provide skill building, confidence, and opportunities, to neurodivergent young individuals with unique learning needs. We are currently in the fundraising stage to help support the launch of our "grab and go cafe" front. The cafe setting is where the opportunity for hands-on customer service situational training will take place. Santa Cruz County is in need of a supported platform to enrich the lives and inclusion opportunities of those in our community, with mild to moderate intellectual (dis)abilities. We at Skills of Life Cafe (SOL) thank you for your support, understanding, belief, and all the guidance we have received along the way already.

Every Monday dinner, Hula’s is giving back a portion of sales to help support our mission of empowering young adults with disabilities through real-world job training and employment opportunities.
We are so thankful for this recognition, collaboration, and the way our local community continues to show up for our interns. When local businesses partner with us, they help create pathways to meaningful employment.

We’re excited to welcome our newest occupational therapy student from San Jose State University who is helping lead our curriculum focused on confidence and leadership. Empowering self-advocacy, and future opportunities…one lesson at a time exploring stories and situations.
