We’re proud to congratulate Mariah Hill Foundation on receiving a 30 Years of Giving grant from the Spencer Community Foundation!

This grant provides general operating support to help the organization continue its work of bringing people together and strengthening connections throughout the community. Through its ongoing efforts, Mariah Hill Foundation helps foster a sense of belonging and community pride for residents across Spencer County.

Yesterday morning, we had the pleasure of celebrating the 2026 Community Scholarship recipients at our Rise & Shine Scholars event. It was also a special moment to extend our deepest gratitude to the fund founders—whose generosity is the foundation of our scholarship programs.

Congratulations to this year’s scholars, and a heartfelt thank-you to our dedicated fund founders and donors!

We’re proud to congratulate Honor Flight of Southern Indiana on receiving a 30 Years of Giving grant from the Spencer County Community Foundation!

Spencer County Advisory Board President Derika Lynam-Spaetti shared, “I chose the Honor Flight organization because it provides any US Veteran who served in the military, including National Guard, the opportunity to travel to Washington, D.C., and see the monuments firsthand that were built in their honor. Additionally, the Veterans get to return with a big welcome home celebration, in which many of them never received.”

We are grateful for partners like Honor Flight of Southern Indiana who are strengthening the Spencer County community.

Spencer County Advisory Board Member Carol J. Braun shared, “This group provides both a gathering place and community activities in a somewhat distant area of the county. I have enjoyed their opportunities to gather in past fall festivals, community meals, and civic events.”
