Founded and led by Child & Family Center in 2001, the Santa Clarita Valley Interagency Behavioral Health Committee has, for the past 25 years, brought community partners together with a shared purpose: to better support the children, youth, families, foster youth, and caregivers in our community.

What began as a way to improve coordination and connection among schools, behavioral health providers, healthcare partners, law enforcement, probation, county departments, and community-based organizations has grown into a trusted space for collaboration, consultation, resource sharing, and problem-solving.

This milestone is a powerful reminder that no single organization can do this work alone. Real impact happens when committed people and partners come together, stay at the table, and work toward solutions that help families thrive.

Child & Family Center is proud to have founded and continued supporting this important community partnership. We are deeply grateful to every member, past and present, whose dedication has helped make our community stronger.

This week kicks off Infant Mental Health Awareness Week 💛

🎳✨ Two weeks ago, our CORE Prevention Team hosted a “Power‑Up and Glow” Senior Bowling Night for Hart School District seniors!

Held at Valencia Lanes, the night brought together the Class of 2026 for an evening filled with bowling, music from a live DJ, a photobooth, face painting, and free pizza and drinks—all in a fun, safe, and substance‑free environment.

Beyond the fun, the event created space for students to celebrate, connect with peers, and have important conversations about the risks of va**ng as they prepare for life after graduation.

💙 At Child & Family Center, we’re proud to create opportunities that help youth power up their strengths and glow without substances—supporting healthy choices, connection, and confidence for the future.

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost one month since Taste of the Town — and we’re still reliving the savory bites, fantastic drinks, incredibly talented musicians, and all the time spent with friends and community.
