Up Next With Nessie Hi! I’m Nessie, a puppy in training for Guide Dogs of America - Tender Loving Canines!

I’m a Golden Retriever and I was born on September 23, 2024 in the GDA-TLC nursery. Thanks to the Hartwell Corporation for their sponsorship of this part of my journey!

A final big day of outings with my puppy raisers as a puppy-in-training! I met the wonderful and wiggly ZENA Zen Warrior Princess; we played and then napped. I went to lunch with Elko’s Excellent Adventure (her first restaurant experience!). Then my primary puppy raiser and I toured the mall together one last time since neither of us were ready to head home.

Thanks everyone for joining me on my adventure as a puppy-in-training!

As my time as a puppy in training nears its end (I’m heading to formal training at the end of this week), I want to take a special moment to point your attention to my sponsorship sash. I have worn it proudly for the last sixteen months to honor the Hartwell Corportation’s support of Guide Dogs of America - Tender Loving Canines and specifically my puppy in training journey.

Their sponsorship covered much of the financial burden of puppy raising for both my puppy raisers and GDA-TLC including food, vet care, and training.

Thank you!!! I hope you have enjoyed following my journey and that I make you proud in whatever path I choose after entering formal training!

Hi everyone! I had a fun time at Descanso Gardens this week! And the weather was just perfect for a lovely stroll!

The staff even recognized our Guide Dogs of America - Tender Loving Canines puppies in training jackets and knew some of our fellow puppies in training by name! 😊♥️🐾
