We will be holding a Special Association Meeting on July 10 at 8:30 a.m. via Zoom to re-adopt our proposed bylaws amendments, ensuring that the required 30-day notice is provided to the membership prior to the vote.
The meeting agenda and Zoom link will be distributed on July 1. A two-thirds vote of the membership is required for adoption. We hope you can join us!
PROPOSED CHANGES
Amendment #1: Article IV - Membership and Dues, Section 4
Current: (a) Each member of this Association shall pay an annual dues of ten dollars ($10.00) per member to the Association.
Proposed: (a) Each member of this Association shall pay an annual dues of fourteen dollars ($14.00) per member to the Association.
Rationale: To cover increased costs and provide additional funding to planned programs.
Amendment #2: Standing Rules
Current: #17 Standing Committees - The standing committees of this Association include Staff Appreciation, Awards, Student of the Month.
Proposed: #16 Standing Committees - The standing committees of this Association include Staff Appreciation, Awards, Student of the Month, Historian.
Rationale: To add Historian as a standing committee of this association since Historian is no longer an elected position outlined in Article V - Officers and Their Elections, Section 2.
