Registration is up for Echo Park! This May 17th event is a Score-O format--you have 2 hours to find your way to as many locations as possible. Instead of punching a control, you answer a multiple choice question at each location. Come out, bring a friend or two, and explore this historic neighborhood. The LAOC General Meeting will be after the event (meeting location TBD).

LAOC had a lovely day out at the Vasquez Rocks "Day at the Rocks" event. Thank you to Bruce Garbaccio for organizing. Great fun was had by all. Our next event here will be the World Trail Orienteering Championships (WTOC) in November 2027!! The location is under embargo for those planning on competing (which does not include todays volunteers: Bruce Garbaccio, Bruce Untiedt, Christian Bowers, and Recinda Sherman :) ) To find out more about WTOC go here: www.wtoc2027.com.

Registration for Griffith Park is UP! Come on out May 3rd for some classic LA views! This Score-O event has a mass start (9:30 maps available) and will use MapRun (not traditional controls). The Biryukov family is at it again, making the LAOC family proud! They had a great showing at the US Orienteering Nationals this Weekend in Maryland, hosted by the Quantico Orienteering Club
Polina: F14--Sprint 3rd, Long 1st!
Misha: M20--Sprint 1st, Middle 2nd!
Katerina and Sergey also did well in their categories, with Katerina Sprint 1st, Middle 1st, and Long 3rd for F-Yellow.
