✨ We are so excited to share that Carol Rock has been nominated as Woman of the Year 2026 — and we're the ones who nominated her!

For over 44 years, Carol has poured her heart into Santa Clarita. Her motto says it all: "If you can, you should." And she really does.

Carol served as RTCF President during the pandemic, guiding us through uncharted territory. She helped build the programs we love today — our "Beyond the Curtain" youth tech workshops, Cowboy Family Night, and our Community Showcases. Whether she's emceeing an event or mentoring behind the scenes, she truly cares.

And her impact goes way beyond our little theatre: $2.5 million in scholarships through the SCV Scholarship Foundation, 20 years of preserving local history, and years of service with the SCV Food Pantry, Canyon Theatre Guild, and more organizations than we can list here.

We're so proud to call her one of ours. 🎭

We’re excited to share that Raising The Curtain Foundation has been awarded a California Arts Council Arts and Youth grant!

This support will fund Behind the Curtain, our hands-on theatre tech workshop at the Newhall Family Theatre, where local youth will explore lighting, sound, sets, costumes, and more—building creative confidence, collaboration skills, and new pathways into the arts.

We’re deeply grateful to the California Arts Council for investing in young people and arts education in Santa Clarita.

We're excited to share that Anita Singh has joined the Raising The Curtain Foundation Board of Directors. If you know Anita, you know she shows up, follows through, and brings people together. She’s a natural connector and a steady hand and exactly what we need as we grow programs at the Newhall Family Theatre and deepen community partnerships.

Bonus good news: Anita was nominated for the 2025 SCV 40 Under Forty Awards. It’s well-earned, and we’re thrilled to cheer her on.
