Empowering Hearts Empowering HeArts is an annual celebration of inspiring women, art, and community, bridging the worlds of social action and artistic expression.

The 2021 Empowering HeArts event is set to take place on November 6, 2021. This year's theme is Survivor. Be sure to visit our website for more information and updates. Each Spring the Empowering HeArts Steering Committee announces the year's theme and invites the Santa Clarita/Los Angeles area community to nominate a woman who personifies the theme. Six honorees are selected from the pool of nominations. Next, the steering committee issues a call to Los Angeles area artists inviting them to create an original work of art to visually and thematically tell an honoree's story. Six are selected from the pool and each artist is randomly paired with an honoree. A grand prize is awarded to the artist who tells the most compelling story. Celebratory books and calendars featuring the entire collection are available for purchase as a keepsake
